CONDOMINIUM WITH A COMFORTABLE YET INDUSTRIAL STYLE
This industrial style condo is located on the second floor a busy retail building in the center of a town, approximately 7 miles outside of Boston. The homeowner is a single man who was looking to turn his one bedroom, one bathroom space into an inviting and comfortable condo to come home to each night after work and to entertain friends and family on the weekends.
BEFORE...
This three room condominium was equipped with just the bare essentials when this project was started... couch, television, bed, bureau and bedside table. The beautiful espresso hardwood floor, gray wall color, high ceilings and large windows were an ideal starting point.
I decided to play up the exposed duct work on the ceilings and go with an industrial style with the an iron dining table, an over sized metal clock and rustic antique beer light. To create a comfortable and inviting living space, the room is softened with silk drapery, wooden coffee and side tables in a beautiful, rich grain of dark brown and gray along with a collection of fur, knit and linen pillows and a soft, light gray shag rug. The animal print barstools are functional as well as beautiful accent pieces as you enter the living space from the front door. The gray, tufted chair serves as additional seating that can be moved throughout the room and adds a touch of traditional leather that is essential in every man's living room. |
